Jacob's new favorite thing...
Mommy's little "helper" - by helper I mean he helps me to have to load the same dishes 10 times a day. He can't get enough of the dishwasher. I guess it is better than the refrigerator, I am not finding ranch dressing in the pots and pan drawer any more!

Happy Valentine's Day!
What a great day!
We spent the day together, the three of us.
Jacob got a bucket, a puppy, a shirt (that may match Daddy's - don't tell him though) and a new ball. Billy got a shirt and some candy. I got a heart locket to carry a picture of my boy in and the best gift of all... my house cleaned while I took a 2 hour nap!!!
We have not really left the house in 2 weeks because of colds, stomach viruses, and pneumonia (back to back) - so just leaving the house today was quite the treat. We took a 2 hour walk, stopping for play time in a few parks and the parking lot of our fabulous new shopping center that will be opening on Monday.
Below are a few pictures of our fabulous day...

Jacob would not walk on the grate without holding Dad's hand - if he is going down, someone was going down with him.

What did you think was gonna happen ma?
This was Jacob's favorite Christmas gift... The Ball Pit!
The other day, Jacob discovered that he could dump the balls out on to the floor (all 275 of them) and wear the pit like a hat. He had a blast. Daddy now has a blast every night finding all of the balls and putting them back in to the pit.
That's our little monkey!

Scripps Aquarium La Jolla
We were looking for something fun to do this weekend. I really wanted to go to the Wild Animal Park, but it was 80 degrees. (That's right - it is Jan 10th and 80 degrees!!) We decided to stick to the coast and went to the aquarium in La Jolla.
Jacob was a bit too young to appreciate all of the beautiful fish and exhibits, but he thoroughly enjoyed running all over the place, pushing buttons at every exhibit and chasing the big fish in the tank (that is until they starting swimming towards him - then he was outta there). We had a nice time.

Merry Christmas!
This was our second Christmas with our Jacob boy - but the first Christmas he (sort of) knew what was going on.
Unfortunately the poor guy had just got his one year shots just 2 days prior so he was really not in the mood for.... well... anything. So this year - mommy wrapped them, mommy opened them. He would come over and check things out then go back and play with toys he already had. It took about an hour to get through the gifts at that pace.
His favorite gift of the day was his ball pit. He climbed in, then Billy poured the balls on top of him and he went crazy. It was really cute.
Hope you enjoy the pictures below.

Back Home to West Virginia
I know, it took forever for me to get these pictures on...
I am a bit out of control with the pictures and it took me a while to sort through the 668 photos and choose a few for the site.
Jacob and I were home for two and a half weeks. I know... after the last trip, I said that two weeks would be the longest I could stay and I would not do it without Billy, but I really want Jacob to know his family... so...
My sweet husband flew out with us to help me on the plane, then flew right back home. When it was time for us to come home, he flew back out and picked up. What a guy!
We had unseasonably cold weather while I was home. We were snowed in a few days. Jacob was missing his daily walk and mommy was getting cabin fever! Our next trip will be in the SUMMER!
