Jacob Turned 7 Months Old!
I can't believe how big my sweet boy is getting!
On July 19, Jacob turned 7 months old.
He is learning so much and amazes me every day.
He is quite the ham and keeps us laughing all day long. His favorite toys consist of a phone that we took the insides out of, an old remote, a paper plate, and oh yes - his very favorite the bowls. There are 2 bowls. You can see both of them below. One of them is good for pushing around the house like a car and the other one is good for - well.. whatever he is doing with it. He is finally jibber jabbing and says babababa. Every now and then he will accidentally exchange a ba for a ma and of course I am certain he means it! He has his 2 bottom teeth and I just noticed yesterday, his top teeth coming in. He has perfected standing and can use anything (or anyone) to stand. He tries to climb everything - he is quite the little monkey. He can also let go and stand on his own for about 30 seconds. Today he took 2 steps! 2 STEPS!!!
OK - that is enough of Mommy's proud notes.
Hope you enjoy the pictures from his 7-month "birthday".

Typically, Billy and I don't do much for July 4th. It was always just the 2 of us and everything around here is always so crowded. This year our friend Cara invited us to her Nana's home for a BBQ. Sometimes it is tough being thousands of miles from your family and Cara's family always makes us feel so welcome and like part of their family.
After lunch we all decided to cool off in the pool. This was Jacob's first time in a swimming pool. He really loved it. I was worried that he would not like the cold water in the big pool, but he cuddled up to me and it actually relaxed him so much he was starting to fall asleep.
Jacob is quite fond of McKenna. Though she is a much older woman, he has set his sights high. In the pictures below, you will see that he was able to steal a few smooches.
Thanks Cara and Todd, Nana and Papa, Pam and Larry for a great 4th of July!
